It must be said, the old adage "If you want something done, ask a busy person" rings so true when discussing all things Ardlethan Show Society. Aside from going gangbusters with organising our annual show, just this last month the committee organised a very successful screening of “Just a Farmer”, raising over $4,000 at our most successful street stall and helped man the traps at our local Can Shoot event last weekend. They even painted a tree blue, to highlight mental health awareness. It stands proudly on Chards Lane as you head into the showground. The money raised at our street stall will go towards an upgrade to the lower pavilion, just in time for the show in September. During this time, the Show Schedule was also completed, which is a mammoth task in itself and deserved of a special mention, thanks to the extraordinary talents of one Elizabeth Menzies, just another quiet achiever. Meanwhile, the Tech Team was putting the final touches to our Showground Website. Committee members also found time to attend specially convened educational sessions to learn the intricacies of “Show Day Online”, which will streamline all things to do with our annual show. You will soon be able to view the entire Show Schedule on our website on www.ardlethanshowground.com and follow the prompts. Whew, that’s a lot of quotation marks.
