The Coolamon Hospital Auxiliary has been recognised in the NSW Parliament for hosting the Riverina Forum of the United Hospital Auxiliaries. Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke gave a Community Recognition Statement in the NSW Parliament on 5 May acknowledging the group. Her statement said that it was pleasure to attend the beautifully renovated Coolamon Hotel and join such an inspiring group at the Riverina Forum of the United Hospital Auxiliaries. “Members travelled from across the region, and their dedication supporting local hospitals is truly commendable,” Ms Cooke said. “This forum was about more than reports, it was about connection, shared purpose, and the impact of community effort. “I’d like to acknowledge the guest speaker Mr Craig Patterson. “His story, alongside Megan Taylor, Ryan Bartholomew and Mel Bartholomew, reflects vision, determination and community pride. “The transformation of the Coolamon Hotel is a remarkable achievement and a fitting place for us to gather. “Hearing reports from across the auxiliaries was inspiring. “Contributing more than $500,000 to hospitals across the Riverina is an outstanding accomplishment. “This figure represents far more than money. “It reflects care, compassion and countless hours of volunteering. “It shows communities coming together to support others when it matters most. “Each of these amazing volunteers play a vital role in strengthening health services and supporting patients and families during challenging times. “Thank you, your contribution makes a real and lasting difference.”
