Geoff Minchin and Kathy Marshman will host the event, which will include the unveiling of a plaque. The Minchin Family is inviting family, friends and connected community members to join in celebrating 100 years of farming at “Morongla” — a milestone that honours generations of dedication, resilience and connection to the land. The day will start at 10.30am with a morning tea and browsing through photographs and memorabilia. At 11am, there will be a scenic walk to the top of Cowabbie Hill to enjoy the wildflowers and the last of the region’s flowering canola. The plaque unveiling ceremony and words from the family, followed by lunch, will take place at 1.30pm. Later, the event will give people the chance to share memories and stories of those who have lived, worked and grown up at “Morongla”. The hosts said visitors travelling from afar are welcome to camp, caravan, or swag it and experience “Morongla” at its finest.
