A house in Lake Cargelligo, previously occupied by triple killer Julian Ingram, was completely destroyed by a fire earlier this week. Officers attached to the Central West Police District arrived and found the house fully engulfed in flames. The house was unoccupied at the time of the blaze and has been vacant for some time. Fire and Rescue NSW and NSW Rural Fire Service crews attended and extinguished the fire. A neighbouring house also sustained damage in the fire. Emergency services were called to the Lorne Street property about 3.15 am on Monday 21 September, after adjoining neighbours were alerted by explosive sounds coming from the fire. Sergeant Ben Munro from Lake Cargelligo Police Station said neighbours called 000 after becoming aware of the incident. Sgt Munro confirmed the cause of the fire was “undetermined”, but the blaze is being treated as suspicious. “Fire services attended and commenced fire suppression activities until the fire was extinguished,” Sgt Munro said. “The fire caused the complete destruction of the dwelling. “No persons were injured. “Central West Detectives attended and conducted a CCTV and witness canvass. “Witnesses were located and statements obtained. “Crime Scene Investigators also attended. “Some items around the property have been seized for analysis.” Police are urging anyone with information about the fire, including mobile phone, dashcam or CCTV footage, to contact Lake Cargelligo Police Station on (02) 6895 6680 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
