Nationals Leader to visit Temora

Next Wednesday evening, 7 October, will be a special night for Temora when it receives a visit from Senator Matt Canavan the leader of the National Party of Australia. The event is, in part, a fundraising dinner in support of Member for Cootamundra, Steph Cooke’s re-election campaign and will be held at the Temora Ex-Services club starting at 6pm for a 6.30pm start. Chairman of the Temora branch of the National Party Rick Firman said that the event was not just for National Party members to all those that would like to support Steph Cooke or would just like to hear from one of our nation’s leaders. “There has been a good response so far with more than 90 tickets sold,” he said. “Mr Canavan is a Queensland Senator, and we must remember that he is also a former federal minister taking time out of his busy schedule to come to Temora for this event.” “Speaking as the chairman of the Temora branch of the Nationals, it's important to remember what Ms Cooke and Mr McCormack, they've actually done to help not only our Temora District community.” Federal Member for Riverina, Michael McCormack will also be a part of the evening conducting a fireside chat and there will also be an auction and raffle held on the night.
