Temora welcomed two new citizens to the district last week at a ceremony conducted in front of family members at the Temora Council Chambers on Thursday 3 September. Kushi Soni came to Australia from the Punjab region of India when she was a child of eight-years-old and moved to Temora almost four years ago with her family. Her father and uncle moved the families to the town to start a new life and start a new business. Ms Soni said that living in Temora was amazing, and the community is very welcoming. “I think the community is very helpful and very welcoming. And it's a very lovely little community,” she said. She will be heading to Sydney to attend university in the coming year to study a Bachelor of Psychology. Steffen Toeppich hails from Germany and the local businessman has been in Australia for 27 years, the last 11 spent in Temora. Operating a honey business and a property maintenance business, Mr Toeppich has enjoyed living in the Temora community.
