The Temora Kangaroo’s Netball Club has two teams in Farrer League Netball Grand Final to be played at Robertson Oval Wagga this Saturday 5 August. First cab off the rank is the U17s taking on The Rock Yerong Creek Club at 9am. At 1pm the A Grade team will go up against the Marrar Bombers at 1pm. Under 17’s Netball Coaches – Tiffany Moore and Bridgid Breust Player profiles Livvy Blackwell – Centre, Wing Attack Livvy is a great leader and someone our team can always rely on. She works hard all game and gets lots of important intercepts. She is always there to support her teammates and gives 100 per cent on court every game and training. Livvy is also such a fun person to have around and always brings good energy to the team. Rahni Coleman – Wing Defence, Wing Attack, Centre Rahni always brings a smile and positive attitude onto the court. She attacks the ball with confidence, passing the ball on with ease to creates opportunities for her teammates, and never gives up. She is an incredible netball player who brings energy, determination and positivity to every game. Izzy Crawford – Wing Defence, Wing Attack, Centre She’s quick in the mid court whether it’s chasing down a ball or putting the pressure on in defence. She has a reliable feed into our shooters with a positive approach to each game. Izzy is an asset both on and off the court. Ava Derrick – Goal Attack, Goal Shooter Ava is the kind of netballer every team wishes they had. Super reliable and always calm under pressure, she’s an amazing shooter who can slot goals from anywhere in the circle. Versatile and adaptable, she adjusts to whatever the game throws at her, and she never puts her head down no matter the challenge. On court, she’s a role model who brings energy, confidence and positivity that lifts everyone around her. Whether it’s training or game day, Ava gives 110 per cent, showing up with determination, focus and a consistently strong work ethic. Claire Hartwig – Goal Attack, Goal Shooter, Wing Attack A reliable and energetic player in the attacking end always ready for the ball, but especially in the shooting circle. She is not only someone who can be trusted to take the ball but also has trust in her teammates. She is always someone you can count on when you need her. She is always loud on the court, try’s her best and uses her voice to keep the energy up and encourage the girls around her. She is a strong shooter who always works hard to get into the best position for the ball. Even when she is put into attack, she is hungry for the ball, drives hard and never gives up on a contest. Emily Jordan-Downes – Wing Defence, Wing Attack Emily is a very determined, happy and bubbly player. She brings a lot of joy to her team while taking that positive energy on the court. Emily’s mid-court game plays are exceptional with her body-on hustle and her determination to always chase down every loose ball. She is reliable on centre passes always making herself an option. Emily is a very passionate player that absolutely anyone can have a laugh with. Jasmine Moncrieff – Goalkeeper, Goal Defence Jasmine is a composed and intimidating defender whose three feet make her an invaluable asset to the team. She is always the most respectful player on the court and has a most admirable wingspan. Whether it's an amazing intercept, applying pressure inside the circle or creating flow down the court, Jaz will always be there without a sour thought. She is one of our most consistent players and is loved by all for her resilience on the court. Georgia Reid (Captain) – Goal Defence, Wing Defence, Goal Shooter Our captain who leads from wherever she is thrown. Georgia is an incredibly versatile player who creates quick, short and sharp movements to get around her opponent. She’s someone we can always rely on, especially when the pressure is on. Georgia never shies away from a challenge and is the player you want by your side when the game is on the line. She’s calm and clutch in those close games, always ready to step up when her team needs her most. And off the court, she’s always willing to have a laugh and bring some fun and positivity whether it’s at training or on the group chat. A true leader, teammate and someone we know we can count on. Meg Ruskin – Goalkeeper, Goal Defence Meg is a strong defender with great skills, good timing and strong knowledge of the game. She reads the play well and positions herself effectively under the hoop. She always brings so much energy before every game with her DJ skills and is an amazing player that you can easily rely on when you’re out on the court. Grace Smith – Goalkeeper, Goal Defence, Wing Defence Grace is a strong and reliable wing defence who can also play defence in the circle when needed. Her long arms make her great at getting touches and putting pressure on her opponent. She is especially good at getting touches on the centre pass and making it difficult for the other team to get the ball forward. Grace is hardworking, determined and always gives her best on court and at training. She is a kind and supportive teammate who encourages the people around her making her a positive attribute to the team. A Grade Netball Coaches – Abbey Reinhold and Halle Derrick Managers – Rebecca Stimson and Susan Diver-Tuck Coaches Report – What a season 2026 has been for our A Grade side. From the beginning, this group has shown a willingness to work hard, learn and play for one another. There have been plenty of highs and a few challenges along the way, but through it all the girls have continued to grow and show plenty of determination. As coaches, we couldn’t be prouder of how far this team has come. Every player has contributed in their own way, and watching the confidence, connection and belief within the group build throughout the season has been incredibly rewarding. To now find we are preparing for a grand final is an amazing reward for all the hard work that has gone in throughout the season. We know there is still one big job ahead of us, and we couldn’t be more excited to take it on together. No matter the result, we are incredibly proud of this group and everything we have achieved together. Abb and Hal Player profiles Jordan Barrett Strong, smart, and never afraid to make her presence known, Jords brings energy and confidence to the defence end. Her loud presence lifts our side and has the ability to bring us back into a game. Josie Carroll Fit, committed and calm, Josie's work rate and determination makes her an asset to the side. From the defence end, she dictates play with her reading of the game and ability to disrupt her attackers. Josie Daniher Fast, strong, and highly adaptable, Josie brings pressure everywhere she goes on the court. Her versatility through the midcourt allows her to influence the game at both ends and make an impact wherever needed. Ava Derrick An exciting emerging talent, Ava has impressed all season with her accuracy, movement and strong holds under the post. A rising star on the court, she’s one to watch on grand final day. Halle Derrick Strong, versatile and reliable, Halle is a dominant presence on the court wherever she is called upon. Named in the Team of the Year and taking on the role of co-coach, she’ll be one to watch as she takes the court for her Temora Kangaroos. Callie Gregory Agile and fast, Callie brings plenty of energy and composure through the midcourt. Her sharp movements and feeds make her a valuable attacking link. Abby Klein Strong, accurate, and always positive, Ab is a true team player who brings confidence and calm to the goal circle. Her smart feeds and reliable shooting make her a strong asset to our team. Darcie Manning Smart, quick, and adaptable, Darc easily reads the play and creates turnovers in crucial times. The ultimate silent assassin, always being one step ahead of her player. Abbey Reinhold Speed, commitment and accuracy are just a few qualities that make this year’s Marilyn Brooks Medal recipient such a force on court. As co-coach and one of the competition’s most dominant shooters, Abbey bleeds the blue and white. Chelsea Walker (Captain) A true Roo through and through, Chels bleeds our colours and leads by example every time she steps on court. Her relentless work rate and determination make her a powerhouse in wing defence.
