Grants of up to $300,000 are now available for local government and not-for-profit organisations across the Cootamundra electorate through the NSW Government's ClubGRANTS Category 3 Fund. The program will support infrastructure projects that deliver lasting benefits for local communities, helping organisations build or upgrade facilities that encourage participation and/or strengthen resilience. Member for Cootamundra, Steph Cooke, said the program provides valuable support for community organisations and councils looking to deliver projects that would benefit their communities. "These funding programs provide a wide range of organisations with the opportunity to get important projects off the ground that demonstrate a benefit to the broader community," Ms Cooke said. "Across our region there are great ideas waiting to be realised, and this funding can provide the support needed to turn those ideas into reality." The ClubGRANTS Category 3 Fund supports projects across arts and culture, community infrastructure, disaster readiness, and sport and recreation, helping deliver facilities and spaces that benefit local communities. Previous recipients from the Cootamundra electorate include the Junee Diesels Rugby League Football Club, which received $260,000 to upgrade the lighting system at Laurie Daley Oval. Applications are now open and close on 17 August 2026. Ms Cooke encouraged eligible organisations with projects ready to proceed to consider applying. "Regional communities are at their best when local people have the opportunity to lead initiatives that reflect the needs and priorities of their area, so I encourage organisations to make the most of this funding opportunity,” she said.
