The Temora Ribbon Run received a significant donation this week, with LinQ Minerals contributing $5,000 to the event, which raises money for Temora’s Can Assist branch. LinQ Minerals CEO Harry Donner said the company are pleased to support the Ribbon Run as it enters its fourth year. “We were happy and honoured to give back to the local community here,” Mr Donner said. “This is our first full year of being involved with the town and the community through our GIlmore project, so it’s great to get involved with some of the events that Temora puts on.” Ribbon Run committee member Chris Watson was taken aback by the donation, and said it will be a great help as they look to exceed the $25,000 they raised last year. “It’s phenomenal for us to get a donation like this,” Mr Watson said. “We’re fully appreciative of any donation, whether it’s two bob or a company like LinQ who can support us in this sensational way. “If someone is diagnosed, they need to approach Can Assist for help, they’re more than willing to give it, and we love to support and promote it.” The Temora Ribbon Run will take off on Saturday morning, with visiting and local riders set to flock to town to take part in what has become a significant event on the local community calendar.
