The generosity of the Coolamon Ganmain communities has enabled the Coolamon Ganmain Hospital Auxiliary to continue its support of our local Coolamon Ganmain Multi-Purpose Service. It is hoped that this support will extend to the coming months and years however, at the recent annual meeting we were unable to fill the positions of Secretary and President. A special meeting has been called for Friday 7 August at 2pm at Allawah Community Centre where it is hoped more members of the communities of Coolamon, Ganmain and surrounding areas will attend and be willing to assist. Please consider joining us, become a member and make a difference in your community. Our auxiliary plays an important role in supporting our local facility, raising funds to purchase and provide equipment requested by the staff to improve the care of patients. The most recent item requested and approved for purchase was a new Bladder Scanner which is already being trialled. Catering continues to be our main source of fundraising. This is usually catering for wakes and Coolamon Sport and Recreation Club continues to support us in this endeavour. We have a number of volunteers who make and provide food along with other volunteers and members who help organise, setup, serve and clean up. We are very thankful to these volunteers. We have also received donations from a number of community organisations in the last 12 months. Beyond Bank donated $2730.66 from their community account. Coolamon Rotary $5,000.00 Coolamon Lions $2,000.00 from Return and Earn. Along with our own fundraising these donations allow us to purchase requests from the hospital and staff, we are very grateful for their support. See you on Friday 7 August at 2pm at the Allawah community centre.
