St John Ambulance is looking to establish a new satellite division in Temora to help strengthen local emergency response capabilities. Adult volunteers are needed to join the new division, which will operate under the Albury Division while it becomes established. No previous experience is needed, just a desire to learn and help the community, as comprehensive training will be provided locally in Temora. Volunteers will have the chance to develop first aid skills, support community events and become part of one of Australia’s most trusted and respected volunteer organisations to help build safer communities. St John Ambulance NSW offers volunteers the chance to gain practical experience, build confidence and make a meaningful contribution to their community. The organisation says one in three of its volunteers has performed life-saving CPR outside of their official volunteer role, highlighting the importance of the training members receive. Volunteers can participate in a wide variety of activities, ranging from providing first aid at community events and public gatherings to assisting with emergency responses and supporting behind-the-scenes operations. St John Ambulance NSW also provides professional event health services and delivers accredited first aid and workplace safety training to individuals and organisations. Community members interested in joining the new Temora satellite division are encouraged to apply online. Applicants should nominate the Albury Division as their preferred division during the application process while the Temora group is established.
