Kevin and Sandra Harper will be joined by friends and family this weekend, at a small function, as they celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married on 11 June 1966 at the Temora Methodist church with guest coming from as far away as Papua New Guinea and Queensland to celebrate the nuptials. Kevin’s sister Beth flew in from Papua New Guinea and the brides twin sister travelled from Queensland. Mr Harper was an Ariah Park local with his betrothed a Sydney girl from South Hurstville. Following a honeymoon that took in a tour of the southern part of NSW they settled at Allambie South property at Ariah Park where they remained until 1997 when they moved into Temora. The union produced four children Bronwyn, Roslyn, Darryl and Peter. During their life they have travelled extensively throughout Australia and internationally. On the home front they were well known in the farming industry, with Mr Harper a very progressive farmer participating in NSW Department of Agriculture and CSIRO trials throughout the years. They were also very active in the local church and community organisations throughout their lives.
