Sunday 18 October was bright, warm with initially a light breeze, ideal weather for the 75-target match scheduled for the Chards Lane Complex. The Australian Clay Target Association had been running a national competition in Wagga in the lead up to Sunday and as expected competitors from there stopped off at our facility and range on the way home to Sydney and even Queensland sweeling the pre-harvest numbers to nearly 60 for the day. Apart from an interesting layout of the targets the only shoot-off was for second and third in B Grade between Robert Wornock, Jackson Lomer and Evan Spiers. Sub-Juniors under 16, Brianna Tingley. Seniors 56-65 1st Michael Lucas, 2nd Adrian Emery, 3rd Vinney Gaynor. Veterans 66-73 1st Matt Harvey, 2nd Tony Connell, 3rd Peter Hedwig. Ladies all ages Claire Burke. C grade 1st Steven Fedrigo 2nd Gary Byron 3rd Chris Golder. B grade 1st David Dickens Robert Wornock, Jackson Lomer. A grade 1st John Anderson, 2nd Michael Coll, 3rd Daniel Short. AA grade 1st Steve Atkins, 2nd Lance North. The very best on the day, ‘High Gun’ went to Luke Pellow. There will be no shoot in November due to harvest but Sunday 20 December there will be lots of hams and seafood to win, eat and enjoy before you go into Ardlethan for the Lions Christmas Carols with the Temora Town Band. We will wish all our farming families a safe harvest. https://www.facebook.com/ardlethanbeckomclays
