The Temora Golf Club volunteers have excelled themselves once again in their bid to update the club’s machinery shed. The doors of the club stay open due to the tireless work done by the many people who volunteer their time to both the clubhouse and on the course. Recently, a fundraising target of $70,000 was reached thanks to donations from the various golf sub-committees, members, Temora community members, raffles and the 100 club. This money has enabled the club to buy a shed kit to update its machinery shed. The shed is taking shape under the stewardship of Mick Reardon and the many veteran golfers who have been helping with the installation of the foundations and shed construction. Local tradies, Nathan Stimson, Phil Reardon, Mick Crawford and Andrew Crawford and their respective teams have put in a big effort helping with the site preparation and pouring concrete. Tom Harvey at Harvey’s Concrete has been very supportive of the club’s effort to complete the project. While many hands are working on the shed, the course itself still needs to be maintained and yet again, volunteers are working hard behind the scenes to keep the course in such great condition. The club sent out a huge thanks to everyone involved.
