Temora will celebrate some beautiful gardens in style when St Anne’s Catholic College hosts its 40th annual Garden Viewing fundraiser on Sunday 25 October. The proceeds from the milestone anniversary event will help support fundraising initiatives for the college. The viewings will offer visitors the chance to explore several established gardens, enjoy morning tea and lunch and hear from special guest speaker Colleen Southwell, also known as The Garden Curator. Tickets cost $100 per person and include entry to all featured gardens, refreshments, lunch and Colleen’s gardening presentation at Temora Town Hall at 12 noon. The first 50 tickets booked will receive a complimentary goodie bag. If you simply want to stroll around the gardens, you can purchase a $25 ticket from the school on the day. Among the gardens opening their gates will be those belonging to Donald and Chris Bett, Ray and Leanne Wells, Alan and Ann Rands, Ken and Sue Krause, Tony and Liz Grant and Craig and El Warren, each offering its own distinctive style and inspiration. The Warren’s garden welcomes visitors with an avenue of trees leading to expansive lawns, immaculate hedging and beautiful roses. El is no stranger to the Garden Viewing event, having previously opened her garden and served as a dedicated committee member for many years. The Bett’s garden features stunning Acoma and Natchez crepe myrtles, formal hedging, cottage charm and thoughtful garden design. At the Wells’ property, established trees, garden rooms and handmade touches create a garden full of character. Visitors will also have the chance to purchase Leanne’s handmade creations from her home, with cash recommended. Organisers are encouraging visitors to book early for the special occasion, which combines a tour of the featured gardens with the opportunity to hear from Colleen Southwell. Tickets must be purchased in advance as none will be available on the day. Tickets are available online at https://www.trybooking.com/au/event/1612958 Wristbands can be collected from 9am at the St Anne’s Catholic College school grounds.
