At our recent AGM, which was attended by a large number of members, the election of office bearers was conducted. All positions were filled by the existing executive. President Ann Wood gave her yearly report which highlighted purchases made for the hospital. These purchases included a cart to store emergency Malignant Hyperthermia medication in the event of a rare but life-threatening reaction to aesthetic gases during surgery. A crib designed for post caesarean mums that has a fold downside creating easier access to their bubs while complying with safe sleep practice guidelines. A fridge for safe storage of breast milk and other medications. The fridge has 24 hour temperature monitoring, a vital piece of equipment that will make Temora District Hospital compliant within MLHD. All of these items are transferable to our new hospital. We have also authorised the purchase of four chair and four bed sensor pads which alert staff to movement of a patient. Money raised by the Auxiliary comes from sale of items in our kiosk (located in the hospital), raffles and donations. We are so appreciative of all the support we receive from the community. We will be holding our next meeting on Tuesday 4 August at 2pm, at the hospital, we would love to welcome you.
