The circus has come to Temora and the shows start tonight, 28 May, at 7pm at the Temora Showgrounds. There will be five shows in total before the troop moves onto Leeton on Sunday afternoon. Circus Arlo is a family affair with many performers as part of the same family and as has always been the case with the circus everyone takes on multiple roles. Ringmaster Jessie Daley says that the acts people will see at the circus will be very different to those that many will have seen in other shows in regional areas. “We have the Las Vegas style magic illusions, which is the stuff you'll see on the TV specials or in the big casinos in Las Vegas,” he said. “We've got knife throwing and we've got one of the only crossbow acts in the country as well. “There are all the aerial acts, and the clowns. The clowns in the show are our family members which includes my four-year-old son and his uncle who's 15.” The tent is 18 metres by 18 metres and holds 220 people for each show. Shows will be at 7pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights with daytime shows on Saturday at 4pm and Sunday at 12. Tickets are available on the door or by calling 0422 293 332.
