The Under 13s Junior Kangaroos Netball Team are off to Coleambally on Saturday, 29 August, to take on the SWJ Grand Final. The Club and the Temora community are right behind this formidable team, who have gone through the season undefeated! A special mention to coaches Claire Reid and Alicia Goodfellow, whose dedication, encouragement and commitment have helped the girls develop their skills, confidence and love of the game throughout the season. We wish the girls the very best of luck on Grand Final day — go Roos. Elkie Breust - C/WA Don’t be fooled by the quiet approach — Elkie brings plenty of pressure! She covers the court, creates space, moves the ball with purpose and has a knack for popping up with a perfectly timed intercept. Ari Bryon -WD/GK With arms that seem to stretch forever, Ari makes life difficult for anyone she is marking! She continues to work on her rebounds, takes on directions and always tries hard to put what she has learnt into practice. Elvie Crawford - GS/GA Cool, calm and collected, Elvie is a reliable option when the ball comes into the circle. She knows how to find the perfect position and can be trusted to stay composed when the pressure is on. Layla Goodfellow - GK/GD Strong in the circle, Layla is growing in her understanding of where to position herself to make an impact. Her long arm span helps apply pressure to her opponent, while she works hard to hold her space, and turn defence back into attack. Olivia Kite - GA/GS Olivia has grown in confidence throughout the season and is always ready to make her move. She brings plenty of energy to attack, chases down rebounds and knows how to find a way into the circle. Alice Reid - WA/WD Always on the move, Alice has grown in confidence and knows how to use a clever drive to create space. She works hard to clear out, re-offer and give her teammates plenty of options. Bella Reid - GD/GK If there’s an intercept to be had, Bella will be hunting it down! Her strong talk, clever reading of the play and ability to pull in a ball make her a force to be reckoned with in defence. Hayley Robinson - GA/WA/C Hayley is the ultimate workhorse, covering every inch of the court and making the transition from centre to circle look easy. Add in a long-range shot and some perfectly timed drives, and you have one dangerous attacker! Rosie Wooden - WD/WA Rosie never gives her opponent an easy run! She works tirelessly around the court, loves a good contest and has developed some clever positioning to create space and deliver the ball into the circle.
