The Temora Dragons will be looking to reverse the results of their round three game at Harris Park when they host the South City Bulls at Nixon Park next Sunday. The Bulls sprung somewhat of a surprise result on the Dragons in that game, winning 26-22, and since then the Dragons have been "hot and cold" in their games, winning by big margins in some but struggling for points against some of the lesser teams. However, last Sunday at Young the Dragons found good form with a stunning 36-20 result which sees them only one win behind the early Group Nine favourites, with the competition reaching the three-quarter mark this weekend. Considering this result was achieved without regular first graders Hayden Philp and Brandon Nima, along with David White, while centre or winger Nima is expected back for the Bulls game, Philp's inclusion is still under a cloud. In last week's round of games, the South City Bulls went down to the Wagga Kangaroos and are currently going through a string of injuries to a number of players that could have a big effect on the make-up of their starting team at Nixon Park. Following the Dragons' win over Young in what was a Challenge Cup game, Temora will defend it against the Bulls, who should have a considerably higher starting points advantage than the ten and a half points the Dragons enjoyed at Alfred Oval. There will be a full programme of games at Nixon Park with five games to be played, with the Reserve Grade holding considerable interest with Temora in second place on 18 points, only a point ahead of the Bulls. In the Women's Tackle game Temora face a massive challenge after their big defeat at Young. The Bulls are currently in third place on 18, four points behind the leaders Wagga Brothers on 22 and Junee Diesels on 20. Temora are currently in fifth spot but should benefit by having Belinda Nima available after missing the Young game through representative trials in PNG last week. Belinda is currently leading the Women's Tackle try-scoring list with 13 tries from five games. The Weissel Cup game will be another tough outing for the Dragons as the Bulls and Wagga Brothers share the lead in that grade on 20 points, while Temora share eighth place with the Albury Thunder with two wins apiece. Temora's second-placed League Tag team should be far too strong for the Wagga club as they come off a big 54-6 result against Young, after defeating the Bulls 58-0 in round three. Club supporters are reminded the Dragons will celebrate their Ladies Day at Nixon Park on Saturday, 8 August, when Temora will host the Wagga Brothers at Nixon Park, where the League Tag game against the competition leaders will no doubt be the "Match of the Day."
